Designed by Lee Williams, the OD-1 features a blade of Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel for superior hardness, excellent corrosion resistance, and its ability to be sharpened to a precision edge. This premium blade is paired with a handsome two-toned handle—textured, black G-10 on one side and pure stainless steel on the other. The OD-1 features Flipper ambidextrous opening; just pull back on the blade protrusion and flick your wrist forward slightly to open the blade and lock it in place. Spyderco’s non-locking, one-hand open, clip carry folders are called SLIPITS.  Starting in 2004, Spyderco launched a folding knife model called the UK Penknife, targeted for carry in the United Kingdom where newly imposed legal restrictions forbade folding knives with locking blades.  As the SLIPIT concept gains momentum Spyderco keeps expanding the line with folders in varying sizes, steels and handles.  Newly added are Lightweight SLIPITS.
